Mohammed Shami, an Indian cricket player who plays for India in all forms, was born on September 3, 1990. He is a right-arm fast or fast medium bowler. He has represented four Indian Premier League teams (IPL) and the Bengal side in domestic cricket. Shami bowls the ball off the seam and moves it in both directions with swing, including reverse swing. He has been called "unplayable" at times in all forms and is said to have an advantage in the final (slog) overs of a limited-overs innings.
In addition to finishing as India's top wicket-taker in the ICC World Cup 2023, Shami is the fastest bowler to reach 50 wickets in the tournament's 48-year history over 13 editions. The 2023 Arjun Award for Cricket goes to him.
Shami Carrier:-
As the youngest of five children, Shami was raised in the Sahaspur hamlet in Amroha, Uttar Pradesh. Tauseef Ali, his father, was a farmer by trade but had previously played fast bowling.Shami was brought to Badruddin Siddique, a cricket coach in Moradabad, a town 22 kilometres away from his home, when he was fifteen years old.
Badruddin Siddique on Mohammed Shami :-
"This is not your typical boy, I realised when I watched him bowl at the nets as a fifteen-year-old. Which is why I chose to train him. Since we don't have club cricket here, I spent a year preparing him for the UP trials. He worked extremely hard, consistently, and cooperatively. He trained nonstop without ever taking a day off. Despite his excellent bowling during the under-19 trials, he was not selected because of politics. I refused to let Shami miss a year when they asked me to bring him the following year. I thus recommended that his parents send him to Kolkata."
Throughout his stay at Moradabad, Shami put a lot of effort into honing his technique. He would ask for the used balls after games to practice reversing the older ball, a skill that would be crucial to his success in the future.Nevertheless, Badruddin moved him to Kolkata in 2005 after he failed to make the Uttar Pradesh under-19 team in order to improve his prospects of being picked for a state team. He was referred to Debabrata Das, a former assistant secretary of the Cricket Association of Bengal, after participating in games for the Dalhousie Athletic Club.Shami was chosen for the Bengal under-22 team by Bengal selector Sambaran Banerjee after Shami impressed him with his bowling performance for Town Club.
Debabrata Das on Mohammed Sham:-
"Shami has never been interested in money. The stumps, or the sound made when a ball strikes them, were his target. The majority of his wickets were bowled ever since I last saw him. He gets it to cut back in by bowling with an upright seam on or slightly outside off stump."
Later, Shami joined one of Bengal's top teams, Mohun Bagan Cricket Club, to be eligible for selection to the state team. After bowling against Sourav Ganguly, the former captain of India, in the Eden Gardens nets, Shami was quickly added to the Bengal team for the 2010–11 Ranji Trophy after Ganguly suggested him to the state selectors

Domestic Violence Issue:-
Hasin Jahan, Shami's wife, filed a First Information Report against him and his family in March 2018, alleging adultery and domestic abuse. Shami was accused with crimes including attempted murder, poisoning, criminal intimidation, and domestic abuse. Shami refuted every accusation, saying it was all part of a plot to divert his attention from cricket. Because of the accusations, Shami was removed from the national contracts list by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).Additionally, according to his wife, Shami had engaged in match-fixing. Following an investigation by the BCCI's anti-corruption team, Shami's national contract was reinstated by the board on March 22, absolving him of all corruption accusations.
In relation to the domestic abuse allegations, an Alipore court issued an arrest warrant for Shami on September 2, 2019, giving him 15 days to show himself in following his return to India. On September 9, a district court stayed the warrant due to the warrant's issuance court's failure to issue a summons to appear in court following the filing of the charge sheet.
